Can Anyone Get an Internship While in School? Here’s the Truth for Students from Grade 5 to 10

A few months ago, Ira Gandhi, a Grade 5 student from Kunskapsskolan Bengaluru, had a question: What does it take to be a young entrepreneur in today’s world? That curiosity led her to a unique content creation internship offered through YuviPep. Her project—developing a digital media series on sustainability tips for future entrepreneurs—didn’t just give her insights into the world of business but also landed her a certificate with media coverage and an Amazon Gift Card stipend.

And Ira wasn’t alone.

Aakash and Abhiman, Grade 8 students from NPS Banshankari, took a different route. Through YuviPep’s Innovation Base Course, they earned their internship spots by building a real-world AI-based posture optimization system. Meanwhile, Avani from Swargarani School & PU College built a Smart Agriculture System, applying tech to a problem close to her family’s heart—farming.

All of them were selected through a proper registration and interview process, open to students from YuviPep-partnered schools or its online programs. This wasn’t just a “certificate for participation” activity. These were internships that involved:

  • Actual project delivery
  • Office visits with fun team-building sessions
  • Amazon Gift Cards for interns and extra perks for top performers
  • Final day presentations in a corporate-like setting

Curious if your child could be next? Here’s where to explore the Internship for School Students program.

This story-driven, hands-on model is now why many parents are encouraging their children to join YuviPep’s programs. And it’s not just for techies. Saamia, a Grade 7 student from Kunskapsskolan, did her internship researching how Gen Alpha in Bengaluru consumes digital content.
